-
Sponsors inform VDTT office about number of full-time MTech and MS(R) candidates they are interested in taking through the admission cycle.
-
Sponsoring companies approach VDTT office and sign the MoU.
-
In rare cases, if a candidate thinks that he/she should have been shortlisted based on the shortlisting criteria, but he/she did not receive an
invitation email from the VDTT office, they are recommended to Contact Us via mail.
-
Academic profile of candidates shortlisted from the first interview is shared with industry sponsors and depending upon sponsor's preference, the
shortlisted candidates may be asked to appear for a second interview with a panel comprising of both the VDTT faculty members and sponsoring
company's team. In some other cases, the sponsors may take a decision solely based on academic profile of candidates shortlisted after the first
interview and a second interview may not be required.
-
Part Time Registrations:Semiconductor related companies located in Delhi NCR or in adjoining towns within a maximum distance of 30 km are
welcome to encourage their existing employees for part-time registrations in the VDTT programme. The same application process is to be followed for
part-time candidates, except that the shortlisting criteria for part-time candidates will be different from the full-time candidates.
A part-time candidate is not paid any assistantship by IIT Delhi and he/she can of course only work with the single sponsor and has no other
choice of sponsor.
-
NOTE: If sponsorship of VDTT students is terminated during the programme, the VDTT office tries to do its best to work out a solution.
-
As requested by sponsors and recommended by IIT Delhi, VDTT programme may ask students to sign and exectue a bond at the time of admission on financial implications, in case they choose the leave the programme midway.
-
VDTT students are allowed to appear for IIT Delhi campus placements towards the end of their academic program without any special hiring related
privileges allowed to the sponsoring company. Our belief is that through its continuously long off and on-site interaction, the sponsoring company
is already presented with ample opportunity to positively influence the student into joining them.
