Placement
VDTT sponsors are expected to offer on-site summer internship to the students at the end of their first year. This provides a 2-3 month window for sponsors to evaluate our students for full-time employment with their company at the end of the degree programme. By the end of the summer internship, if interested, sponsors may extend an offer of employment to the student(s). Such an offer, if informed to the VDTT office, will be counted as a pre-placement offer by the office of career services (OCS) at IIT Delhi. In the spirit of right of first rejection by the sponsor, if the student does not accept this offer, he/she will be allowed limited options only during the on-campus placements arranged by OCS, IIT Delhi. Of course, if the sponsor does not provide such a summer internship or does not extend an offer of employment to the student or does not inform the VDTT office in this context before the beginning of the third academic semester, the sponsor loses this limited right of first rejection.
